Total amount of volunteer hours this week: 26. If I had stayed the night, it would've been 36 hours.

:dead: I think I'll have a bad case of DOMS tomorrow.

Relay for Life was lots of fun. The food was good and they played music until 10 p.m. They even had Guitar Hero on the sidelines. Next year, I'll join a team to raise money. However, I definitely won't be on the committee again. That was a bad idea. @_@

I'm laughing too much at the Ganguro makeup to be offended. I'm not surprised at this at all.

June is here. Time has gone by quickly, huh? All of the people I knew in college have already graduated. I hope to catch up with them in the future.

Today is Loli-day! However, I don't feel like dressing up. XD Maybe I'll just wear a head bow and a parasol. I'm lazy.

I need to get up and exercise. My energy level has gone down. I rented the 10 Minute Solutions Kick Box Bootcamp from the library. Kickboxing is fun.. if you have the energy. XD

I'm practicing my Japanese with a CD and a coursebook. You know, it makes me wonder how Weaboos mess up the Japanese language. You'd think after watching hundreds of episodes of Anime and taking Japanese classes, they'd know how to speak Japanese properly.

"You are so Kawaii, deshu deshu! <3"

o_o I... just don't know.

Anime Fan on a Budget

Being an Anime Fan is fun and exciting. You want to show off your merchandise and knowledge of anime. However, as some of you know, it can be expensive.

Here are some (legal) tips:

1. Go to the library. It's a great place to read old-school manga.
2. paperbackswap.com. You can swap manga!
3. DVDswap.com. ;D
4. Second-hand bookstores.
5. Join bookstore memberships. Even though Borders says they can't use 30% off coupons on comics, they let me do it every time.
6. A lot of streaming video sites are now featuring anime legally for free. Youtube, Veoh, and Crunchyroll are now teaming up with anime companies to bring you anime (with annoying ads, of course).
7. DON'T BUY MERCHANDISE AT THE CONVENTION! Only do that if you can't find rare merchandise online or if it's cheaper at the convention.
8. Bring your own food to the convention. Seriously. You don't want to pay for that 5.00 bottle of water, do you?
9. Search thrift stores for easy-to-find cosplay pieces.
10. I got this idea from swapping magazines. Swap books and dvds with your friends. It's 2 for the price of one!
11. Join an anime club. You might get group discounts and watch anime for the price of a membership.

Of course, some of these only work if your living area is big on Japanese pop culture. Just be versatile and you might just save a few bucks.
